Press-service of Dnepropetrovsk territorial Union of Mine-workers stated that mine-workers were supported by everyone in their demands for their rights. Currently all people state about violations of constitutional rights of employees.

A joint representative union body applied to leaders of deputy’s groups on the issue associated with violations of constitutional rights and guarantees of millions of Ukrainian employees and requested to hold a meeting for the search of this problem solutions.

As it was stated that Unions associations of Ukraine, represented with more than 8 mln people, forced to resort to public actions and enter into a labor dispute at the national level with the government and organization of employers to protect working people rights and stop “the wave” of antisocial decisions and economic initiatives of authorities.

The scale violation of basic constitutional working people rights to work, safety labor conditions, sufficient living standard, protection from poverty have become the main reason of existing situation.

Instead of efficient reforms at the real economy sector, creation of new working places, attraction of investments, establishment of order at the state funds and eradication of corruption the Cabinet of Ministers addressed to save budgetary expenditures at the expense of banal reduction of social securities, wages and pensions. On the Government’s initiative the work of state labor inspectors was blocked and they were prohibited to attend and inspect working places. It forced the unions to complain to the International labor organization.

The living wage and pension have not been revised since December 2013. At the same time the consumer prices index has been 172.2% for this period of time. As a result, a real purchasing power of wages has reduced by 30% since the beginning of the year and 1.5 billion of UAH (wages) has remained as outstanding debt to more than 210 000 employee.

It’s been for the first time when the effective measures for social protection have not been applied upon repeated prices increase in gas, power, foodstuff, medicines and utilities rates.

Catastrophically the gap between supply and demand becomes deeper at the labor market. In 2014 more than 1.2 mln of working places were lost, the unemployment level grew from 7.8% to 9.7%. There are only 8.9 mln able to work people from more than 26 mln who have a permanent employment. When a number of pensioners is 12.5 mln. None of the Government has engaged in the labor market balance, its adjustment and creation of updated programs and working places.

Social tension has grown at the employees of enterprises, the quantity of employees ready to take part at the national strike for their rights increases. In accordance with the public opinion poll 55% of activists are ready to participate in the protest actions, meetings and pickets, and 26.5% - has already been ready to go to the strike.

Millions of employees do not take strongly a declared government policy “indefinite shock therapy” without real social and economic reforms. Union associations of Ukraine applied to heads of deputy fractions with the request to support and assist in the solution of the most burning issues.

People’s deputies were also proposed to hold a consultative meeting of groups to discuss an existing situation in the labor sector and social instability risks.
